Late last year, Pastor James David Manning of ATLAH Worldwide Church released a YouTube video in which he accused the Seattle-based coffeehouse chain Starbucks of intentionally adding gay semen to its drinks to enhance flavor and increase sales. Recently, Manning released another video in which he explains his accusation in greater detail, comparing semen to milk.
“Milk is something that is produced by the mammary glands,” says Manning in his recent video, “people tend to like its taste. It tends to nourish people . . . . Semen is another kind of milk. It is something that is produced by the testicle glands of a man. People tend to like milk produced by the mammary glands of a woman. Starbucks has figured out that people tend to like semen as produced by the testicle glands of a man.”
The claim that Starbucks uses semen in its coffee spawned from an October 2014 article on the satirical website Huzlers, which claimed that traces of semen were found in Starbucks drinks, prompting an FDA investigation. Inquisitr and Snopes both published articles proving the claims as false. Manning specifically cited to the Inquisitr article as proof for his claim.
“Semen, like cord blood, has the opportunity, and it has millions and millions of little zygotes in it, and it flavors up the coffee, and it makes you think you are having a good time drinking that cup of latte with the semen in it,” said Manning, who speculated that the large amounts of semen likely came from homosexuals.
“I’m not making this up,” he repeated, continuing to cite to the Inquisitr article.
In a February 2015 YouTube interview on the David Pakman Show, Manning acknowledged that the original claim was actually a hoax, but still maintained his belief that Starbucks puts gay semen in its coffee.
“Gays tend to love each others’ semen and it flavors up the coffee,” he asserted to Pakman.
Manning has previously admitted to having homosexual urges while serving time in prison. He claims that he did not act upon those urges.
